J. W. “Skip” Conner, CIC, ARM, President — Began his insurance career in 1969 after receiving his BBA from Sam Houston State University. He worked for a major Insurance Company for 7 years before coming to Katy Insurance Agency in 1976. He is a licensed agent for Property/Casualty, Bonds, Life and Health. Skip has held the Associate of Risk Management (ARM) since 1974 and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) since 1989, professional designations.
Max Kapchinski – Began his insurance career as a casualty underwriter in 1968. He entered the agency ranks in 1974 and joined Katy Insurance Agency in 1981. Max speciality is in Child Day Care and Trucking industry.
Max Kapchinski, Jr., CIC- Began his insurance career right here with Katy Insurance Agency in 1993. Like his father, he specializes in Child Day Care and Trucking. He obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2004.
Charles “Bugs” Edwards- Began his insurance career in 1965 and joined Katy Insurance in 1990.
Jack R. Ray, LUTC – Began his insurance career in 1971 and joined Katy Insurance in 1993. He received his LUTC professional designation in the 70′s.
Frank Barber – Began his insurance career in 1956. He received his degree with a Insurance Major from the University of New York in 1960. Most of his career was with a National Brokerage Firm, and a Specialty Commercial company before joining Katy Insurance in 1991.
Sean Easley – Began his insurance career as a life agent with a large national insurance provider in 2007. He worked with the family agency out of Victoria, TX until coming on board with Katy Insurance in 2010.
Kellie Sissom - Grew up in the family owned business and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996. She then obtained her Masters Degree in Sports Management in 1998 and worked at RaceWorks, LLC, a motorsports marketing company, for 8 years. After a while, she came back to Katy Insurance Agency and was licensed in 2009.
Emma Lou Davis, ACSR – Began her career in 1962 as a Commercial Auto Underwriter before joining Ward Stanberry Insurance Agency in 1964. She joined Katy Insurance as a Commercial Lines CSR with the purchase of the Ward Stanberry Agency in 1993. Emma Lou has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 1990.
Leslie Davis, CIC, ACSR – Began her career in 1982 as a property underwriter before moving to a Managing General Agency. She joined Katy Insurance in 1997 as an assistant, moving to her present Commercial Lines CSR position in 2003. Leslie has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 2003 and the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) since 2008.
Lynda Daugherty, ACSR – Began her insurance career in 1984 with Katy Insurance. She is a Claim Specialist. She has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 2002.
Martha Cook, ACSR – Began her insurance career with a direct writer in 1985. She joined Katy Insurance in 2002 as a Personal Lines CSR. She has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 2003.
Kimberly Nelms, ACSR – Began her insurance career in 1989 with a direct writer. She joined Katy Insurance in 2000 as a Personal Lines CSR. She has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 2001.
Janie Monroig – Began her insurance career in 1991 and has vast experience in commercial, personal, bonds and more. She joined Katy Insurance in 2010 as Personal/Commercial CSR.
Maggie Colvin - ACSR – Began her insurance career in 2001 as a Life and Health Agent . In 2003, she became a CSR in Personal lines. She joined Katy Insurance in 2011 as a Personal Lines CSR. She has held the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) professional designation since 2006. Maggie has experience in property & casualty as well as life & health.
